Safety is the whole point.

This community exists so Jews can just be Jewish online, without defending, explaining, or hiding. That only works if the space is genuinely safe. Here is exactly how we protect it.

Every member is verified by a person

Nobody gets past the welcome area without a real conversation with our verification team. A few questions, a human judgment call, and only then do the doors open. Bots, trolls, and bad-faith visitors never reach the community.

Moderation that never sleeps

A volunteer team spread across timezones watches over the community day and night. Hate speech means an immediate ban, missionizing is not tolerated, and every serious decision is reviewed by more than one staff member.

Privacy by default

Nobody is required to share their real name, photo, or location to participate. Verification answers are visible to staff only. Even our own team serves under Discord handles, because we take the risks of being visibly Jewish online seriously.

Reporting that gets read

Anything that feels off can be reported to staff from inside the server, and reports are handled by the moderation team, not ignored. Doxxing, harassment, and hate have zero tolerance here.

An Orthodox, shomer Torah community, open to every Jew.

The server is run according to Orthodox standards, and we are proud of that. It is also home to Jews of every background and level of observance, and to Noahides and people converting through Orthodox Judaism. The standard keeps the space grounded; the welcome keeps it warm. Both are non-negotiable.

For parents

Members as young as 13 are part of this community, and we take that responsibility seriously. Every member your teen talks to has been through human verification, the channels they use are moderated around the clock, and nothing about the community asks them to share who or where they are.

And you do not have to take our word for it. If your child is here, or wants to be, you can talk directly to the people keeping them safe. Email us and a member of the leadership team will answer personally. Prefer a phone call? Say so in your email and we will set one up.

See something that feels wrong?

Inside the server, report it to any staff member and the moderation team will handle it. Outside the server, or if you would rather not use Discord, email safety@etzem.org.
